About Virginia Highland

Virginia Highland is a large neighborhood that is broken down into seven different unique villages. Each of these villages features their own array of eclectic restaurants, trendy shops, and amazing nightlife. Every year, Virginia Highland hosts the Summerfest community event, which draws a crowd, about 50,000 people, from all over Georgia. The Summerfest event is a huge art show that usually showcases the works of over 200 artists, and is the biggest art show in the southwest. In June 2011, Atlanta Magazine called the neighborhood of Virginia Highlands “the favorite overall.” In fact, Virginia Highlands is an ideal place to live for young professionals, commuters, families with kids, and everybody else as well.

Along with the amenities located within Virginia Highland, the area is also complimented by the upscale areas of Buckhead, Midtown, and downtown too. Direct access to the glorious Piedmont Park and BeltLine are available through Virginia Highlands. BeltLine is a former railroad line that was developed into a 22 mile walking and jogging trail. The trail is unique because it is lined with many public displays of arts. Other popular green spaces in Virginia Highlands include John Howell Memorial Park, New Highland Park, and Orme Park.

Virginia Highlands also enjoys a very low crime rate thanks to its aggressive neighborhood watch groups, text messaging, and off-duty police patrols. Getting around Virginia Highland and accessing nearby areas is easy thanks to MARTA rail stations and bus stops. With its great location, terrific reputation, and amazing amenities, Virginia Highland is a fantastic place to live, play, and work.
